The best times are WURST times!

Every Halloween weekend, we go to Wurstfest in New Braunfels with our friends the Ukropinas. This is our 5th year to have gone and it was so fun to have the babies with us this time! We did the chicken dance, polka, and of course had some yummy German food! Zanna and Eric have many years of Wurst-ing and chicken dancing ahead of them! :)

Eric and his parents came to visit for our annual trip to Wurstfest! Last year, Eric was just 8 weeks old at Wurstfest and I was preg-o with Zanna, and this year, they played and played and danced and danced... it was really fun! Here are some of my favorite pictures of them over the weekend. We love you, Eric! Come see us again!

Just Gabbin' with the Gals

Zanna and I recently attended the FPC Women's Retreat with my congregation. It was a rich and meaningful weekend filled with fellowship and faith-sharing, and it was truly awesome to have all of the women of the church care for Zanna and show her what it looks like to "be church". I think this picture was the best one of the weekend, Zanna's gabbing with the gals.... :)

Pumpkin Patch!

It was a beautiful day today, so we took advantage of the gorgeous weather to visit the Pumpkin Patch at St. John's United Methodist Church.... it is a GREAT pumpkin patch with pumpkins both big and small! As you can see, it was good fun had by all! Maybe next year we'll remember to ask someone to take a whole family picture :) As you can see we even coordinated our outfits in anticipation of such a picture, but... then we forgot! D'oh! Oh well, it was really fun and we are glad to have a Fall tradition with our little punkin!

Shoppin' in Style

Notice how Zanna uses Dad's hair to pull him where she wants him to go..... either with her hands OR with her mouth :) Dad says she's the reason he's balding..... hhhmm... well, one thing's for sure, Zanna likes the view from up there :)

So, Zanna has climbed "the mountain" and she likes what she saw at the top!
She got up the step all on her own and as you can see, was quite proud of herself when she got up!

Look what I can do!

Zanna has recently started crawling, and for a long time we've had toys on the bottom shelf of the bookshelf in anticipation of her discovering them.... today, she did just that :) She pulled all of the toys off of her shelf, and had such a good time making a mess! It is really fun to watch her explore and discover new things!
