Yum! Rice Cereal!

Yesterday, Zanna had her first real food- rice cereal! Boy was it yummy. Both Mom and Dad got to feed her and she really enjoyed it and evidently also really liked the taste of her high chair!

Zanna on a mission!

Zanna's now been on her first mission trip. We traveled with 14 youth and 4 adults from FPC to Houston and Galveston to do Hurricane Ike repairs.... Uncle Bear got to be one of the yoots on the trip and Mimi came to take care of Zanna (and paint a little too :)) She, and all of us, had a wonderful week and I think Zanna's now a mission trip junky!

Bathing Beauty

Last Saturday, we went to Walnut Creek pool with Zanna for her first swim in a "big pool". It was a great success- she loved the water! We'll definitely be back! She's such a bathing beauty!

Bedtime stories....

Are best read by your cousins! We went to see Brynn and Bridger ( and their parents, of course!) this weekend and Brynn, our niece, who is now 5, read Zanna her bedtime story, "Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed." As you can see, Zee was just as interested in her cousin Bridger who was playing cars next to us. We are excited about these three growing up together, they are such loving cousins already! The last picture is of Aunt Sarah and Bridger watching The Wizard of Oz and enjoying some Aunt/Nephew time. It was too much fun to be with the Bee Allens! We love ya'll!

Here are more pictures of our time with Eric, Marta and David. Notice how Zanna and Eric are very into one another's faces... I didn't notice until now that Eric has his thumb in Zanna's mouth in the first one :) And then in the next it looks as if Zanna wants to get him back! They had an incredible time playing on the floor together, Eric cruises right along and Zanna just laughed and laughed at him. Next time we all get together Zanna may be chasing after him!! We love you Ukropinas! Come visit us again VERY soon!

Fun with the Ukropinas!

Some of our closest friends, the Ukropinas, came to visit yesterday and it was so much fun watching Eric and Zanna play together. Last time they saw each other, Zanna was only 1 month old and wasn't very aware that Eric was around, but this time, she thought he was the FUNNIEST person she'd ever met... she laughed hysterically while he was crawling around her. Eric is now 10.5 months old and such a happy guy! These pics are of the dads enjoying some baby time,"Uncle David" and Zanna got along just great and the babies enjoyed picture time with their daddies. More pics to come of playtime with Eric and Zanna!

New Discoveries and an Octoshirt....

Zanna has discovered Maggie cat... and really likes her. She's not so sure about Molly dog yet,
but she's getting there. Aunt Emily gave us an octo-shirt from New York and I promised her a picture. Zanna sported the Octo-shirt today and got several compliments :) And then lastly, Zanna has discovered hair.... poor Audrey. Audrey is in my "Second Monday Most Fabulous Book Club in Austin" and came over to carpool to bookclub, asks to hold Zanna and within SECONDS, Zanna had her hair in her mouth.... all during bookclub Audrey was saying, "my hair feels damp stilll." YUCK. But, truly, she has discovered so much this month... it's incredible.

My friend Melanie gave Zanna this wonderful velveteen rabbit when she was born...
She LOVES it! Dad named it Stu (yes, Rabbit Stu... I know!) and Zanna is totally in love with this bunny.... too much fun!

Ember and Alt's Wedding!

This weekend we headed to DFW for my cousin (and Zanna's super cousin) Ember and Josh's wedding. I had the honor of officiating the wedding which was INCREDIBLE and Zanna had a fabulous time seeing the Demarest side of the family! These pics are mom, dad, cousin Josh and Uncle Bear! So much fun!
